5 Best Business Class Airlines

Updated: Jun 29, 2019

There are a ton of airlines in the world, but there are some that really stand out in comfort and luxury. Some of these airlines are decked-out with different things to make your flight just a little bit better, and some airlines make sure you have a smile on your face from the second you sit down to when you land. This will be a list of the 5 best business class airlines that do just that.

#5 - ANA

ANA is a Japanese airline that is known for giving you the feeling of being in Japan. The cabin crew really make you feel at home with their Japanese hospitality. This business class seat is a very good place to be for a long-haul flight from Asia to other parts of the world. The seats are arranged in a 1-2-1 configuration so everyone has direct isle access. Every seat features a fully lie-flat bed that is 21" wide and has a pitch of 62". ANA provides you with very comfortable bedding, very good Japanese cuisine, a big entertainment screen, and an amenity kit that will make your flight even more comfortable. Most features of this seat are perfect for luxury travelers, but there are some downsides. The main criticism that ANA gets for their business class is the seat itself. It is not the biggest deal in the world, but it is a problem. The seat is relatively old compared to many of its business class competitors, but it still gets the job done and will give you a good time for the whole duration of the flight. This seat will cost you around $2,800 for a round trip to most places around the world.

#4 - Emirates

Emirates is well-known for its unbelievable first class seats and its amazing service, but the business class is also a very great place to be. The seat features all of the things you will need to make your flight great, such as fully lie-flat beds, comfortable bedding, a large entertainment screen, great service, a mini-bar, and automatic window shades. The seat also comes with a Bulgari amenity kit and access to an in-flight bar that is shared with all business and first class travelers. Besides all of this, the cabin looks amazing because all of the seats are decked out with gold and silver. Although this seat is perfect for what it costs, there are some downsides. The food is known to be descent compared to some other business class seats, and the Wi-Fi is not great for a very tech-filled airline. This seat will cost you around $1,700+ for a round trip to most destinations without miles. If you redeem miles, the seat will cost around 83,000 miles, which is a good cost for such a great seat. This seat is light years away from the quality of Emirates economy class.

#3 - Delta One Suites

Personally, I have never been a big fan of Delta, but that is because my dad is a frequent flyer of American Airlines. But that does not mean they have bad seats. The Delta One Suites feature some things most other business class seats do not have, such as a sliding door and one of the most technologically advanced IFE systems in the aviation industry. When you get settled into your seat, you receive a Tumi amenity kit, and amazingly comfortable Westin Heavenly bedding to make your flight even better. Not only that, but the seat itself is very comfortable and turns into a fully lie-flat bed. The biggest downside with the Delta One Suites are that the seats are quite narrow at about 21" wide and the isles are also narrow, so you don't have much room to stand when you get out of your suite. But all in all, this seat will definitely satisfy you and put a smile on your face. You can purchase the Delta One Suite, on an international flight, from around $3,000 to $10,000 depending on the route and date you fly. If you pay with miles, you will have to spend a ridiculous 465,000 miles each way! I don't personally think the seat is worth the cost, but if you find a good ticket, it will be great!

#2 - Singapore Airlines A380

Singapore Airlines just released its new A380 business class which features double beds, super fast Wi-Fi, and an 18" entertainment screen that comes with hundreds of TV shows, movies, and games. The biggest drawback with these "revolutionary" business class seats are the tiny foot wells that can make you feel claustrophobic at times, and that business class travelers do not receive amenity kits on board. But if you purchase a bulkhead seat, you avoid the issue of having a tiny foot well. To sit in this luxurious seat, it will cost you around $2,800+ which is quite cheap for the quality of the seat. With miles, the seat will cost around 190,000 KrisFlyer miles. That's a lot but is well worth it!

#1 - Qatar Qsuite

Qatar Qsuite is by far the best business class in the world in my mind, and in many business class travelers opinions as well. Their moto is "First in Business" which is completely correct. Qsuite features all of the perks that you would get in first class. These include first class meals, service, pajamas from the White Company, bedding, huge IFE, a sliding door that gives you the feeling of complete privacy, and much more! Qatar also gives you a BRIC amenity kit which features all the things you need to make your flight much better. The super comfortable leather "arm chair" turns into a very wide and long lie-flat bed. The seat is 21.5" wide and 79" long in bed mode. The IFE features over 3,000 movies to chose from! When you are ready to go to bed, the flight attendants will bring you your super soft and very comfortable bedding that consists of a mattress protector, a very soft and cozy sheet and blankets, a big pillow, and your pajamas. This "bed in the sky" will be more comfortable than your bed at home! The seats are layed out in a 1-2-1 configuration so everyone has direct isle access. Half the seats are forward-facing and half of the seats are facing backwards. In my opinion, on the Qsuites it is better to sit backwards because you are closer to the window. This is on the window seats. But either way is great. Qatar Qsuite is great for solo travelers, but it is even better for families! In the middle seats, Qatar has something called a "couple suite" and a "quad suite." The seats facing backwards in the middle are right next to each other which makes for a perfect couples seat. But if you guys annoy each other, you can raise the partition and close the doors for the uttermost privacy! When both seats are in bed mode, they make a double bed which is a great addition to this business class flight. The forward facing seats in the middle are in a standard business class layout with the seats being farther away from each other. Where the TV's are, you can spread the walls out to make a family or a "quad suite." This is a revolutionary design, especially for business class. For a round trip flight from USA to Asia, Qatar Qsuite would cost you around $4,000-$5,000. While using miles, it would cost you around 70,000-120,000 miles. Although this might seem expensive, it is definitely worth it for a business class flight!

I hope this review of the top 5 best business class flights was helpful. I invite you to make your own list because my opinions are mine, and they are not correct. I would love to hear your opinions on this topic!
